Technical World
QAStrategy.com is the brain child of Obbie Pet. I spent a career ensuring production internet systems hold up under heavy load. I developed my craft thru TicketMaster and Live Nation where extreme load is a way of life. For example when Paul McCartney tickets go on sale, load instantaneously jumps from zero to 20,000 users.
The concepts I pioneered are summarized in two StarCanada presentations, links provided below. The solution is technology agnostic and can be home grown or purchased. It involves monitoring three critical metrics (Response Time, Transaction Rate, and Error Rate). The theory is foundational and won't get stale with time.
